TCF 20 YEARS!!

Another milestone was passed this past week as Trinity has been reaching out and ministering to the Farmer City area for 20 years now. That’s Right! 20 years ago the first group of folks met and started TCF… Take time this week and thank God for all He has done in the last 20 years in bringing Trinity to where it is today. God has been Good!!!

You read things right! THEY WROTE AL OVER MY WALLS!…At Trinity in the New Building. This past Sunday morning we invited anyone present to take advantage of the stage of construction we currently are in to write either on the walls or floor of the new building…. in partcular, scripture verses and Biblical thoughts about our new building and the future. A host of folks took advantage of the opporutnity…. as some of the things on facebook will attenst to. It was an exciting time…. followed by a church-wide pot luck and kite flying in the afternoon. What a great time.

Sunday ended the month of May for us at Trinity with the highest average attendance for any May on record… We averaged over 150 a week in our services…PRAISE THE LORD!! God is sooooo very very good to Us.

A REMINDER That VBS is coming up soon…. don’t forget to sign up to be a helper and be involved in reaching out to the boys and girls of our community for Christ!!

That’s right! Last week the slab was poured on the new building and as I write the outside walls are being placed on the ‘stem’ walls of teh educational wing of Trinity. The progress is exciting…. ALMOST as exciting as the attendance and services have been. Yesterday we had a good crowed for Graduate Recognition Sunday as we recognized our Jr High, High School and College Graduates for their accomplishments and achievement! God is so good! Additionally, we began our series on the Book of Revelation… What a wonderful day in the Lord!!

Beginning next Sunday and possibly lasting for the remainder of the year we will be preaching thru the Book of Revelation on Sunday mornings. Have you ever wanted to know what REvelation was all about…. but were afraid to get into it? Have you ever wanted to know what was going to happen during the ‘End Times/? Have you ever wanted to know Jesus in a better way? If so, then plan to join us at Trinity on Sunday morings beginning ext week…. You’ll be glad you did. And, if you have a vacation planned, no worry!! The messages will be posted on our web page to listen to and CD’s will be available as always at the church…. Don’t miss this exciting time of learning and growth!!

BUILDING NEWS!! The State Plumbing instpectors were here early this morning and gave us the ‘Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval’ on the rough in plumblling work so we can move forward. That means we will be pouring concrete this week to do the ‘stem’ wall and the slab. Then, we will begin to see things move out of the ground on the building!! WOW!! God is so good!!!

What a wonderful day we had at Trinity yesterday with our Children’s Musical, ‘HAPPILY FOREVER AFTER’!! The kids did a great job presenting the Gospel through their presentation to the 177 people who were present in the service and we had at least 15 professions of faith in Christ. What a great day! Thanks to all who worked so hard to make it a resounding success!!

ADDITONALLY, our church building program continues. The footings are in and weather permitting we will have the under slab plumbing and the slab poured this week. Please continue to pray as we move forward. If anyone still hasn’t made a commitment towards the VISION Building Program Fund and would like to, commitment cards are available on the table as you enter the foyer of the church.

LAST BUT CERTAINLY Not least, remember that a week from this coming Sunday we will be beginning our series on the Book of Revelation. Please be praying for me as I prepare…

Have you ever wondered what God’s got planned for the future? Have you ever wondered what’s going on in our world? Have you ever taken a look at the Book of Revelation and wondered what it’s really all about? If any of those questions apply to you then you’ll want to be with us at Trinity beginning May 20th as we begin a series on the Book of Revelation. Revelation, is really all about the Unveiling of Jesus. It’s about who He is and what He plans to do with this world…. You won’t want to miss any of our services as we spend the rest of 2012 working our way through this exciting book of the Bible.

DIRT IS MOVING

WOW!! The dirt is moving at Trinity. All of the shrubs, trees and bushes on the East side of the building are GONE!! And in their place is a huge hole where our new building is going to sit. It is so exciting to watch as things move forward!! And, this past Sunday we got through the 1st week of things being ‘different’ without any real problems. We’ve got most of the going and coming to trinity coming through the doors on the South end of the building. We’re dismissing the boys and girls to Jr.and Wee church thru those doors and going the ‘long way’ around to get to class. It’s all an inconvenience… but a minor inconvenience to get what we need to get done done. GOD IS SO VERY VERY GOOD!! Please, keep praying and be faithful as we move forward for the Lord!!

Sunday was groundbreaking at Trinity… as we took the next step in construction of our 4600 sq ft nursery/classroom/office wing. It was a delightful day as 171 people attending with morning worship with many more, including city dignitaries, our architect and Bob Jackson of Teamway builders came in for the groundbreaking service. Afterwards we were treated to a pot luck dinner… Trinity Style… What a wonderful day. It was exciting to see the boys and girls with their shovels and rakes turn over the first shovel fulls of dirt on the ground where the building is set to begin. Today they were going to get the building permit and contracting for the subcontractors should be underway soon. There was a tremendous amount of excitement in the air and everyone celebrated what God has done and is doing at Trinity.

WHAT’S NEXT? Well, the next 6 to 8 months will be a time of trial and change in the midst of the excitement that I am sure will build as the building goes up on the east side of our current building. We will have to adapt as our main entrance is closed for at least part of the contruction period. This will mean that all of us will have to be very patient with the inconveniences and committed to be there every Sunday that we possibly can. No doubt, there will be more noise as boys and girls have to take a different route to get to class in the modular and have to come back thru our current building to the bathroom. There also may be some parking inconvenience as the work proceeds….. THE KEY Is to keep in mind that this is only temporay and is a small price to pay to get to the ultimate outcome…. another tool to allow us to reach more people, more effectely for the Lord Jesus. Let’s all commit ourselves to faithful attend, and pray as the work goes forward.

PRAISE THE LORD!!

What a great day we had at Trinity today as we worshipped and rememberd the greatest event in the history of the world… The REsurrection of Jesus Christ!! 215 People joined us for a record breaking attendance. This followed a wonderful Good Friday service on Friday evening where 187 people joined us as we looked ‘Thru the Eyes Of A Centruionj’ at the events of Christ’s life. What a wonderful service. Thanks to everyone who were a part of both of these services!!

Don’t forget, next Sunday is our Groundbreaking for the new Classroom/Nursery/Office wing at Trinity…. You WILL NOT want to miss this wonderful time of Worship and Celebration. AFter the groundbreaking and our Quarterly Business Meeting we will be having a pot luck lunch at the church…. The meet is being provided! See You There!!

The new financial agreement/loan papers were signed this afternoon with Christian Investors and we plan to have the formal groundbreaking ceremony on Sunday April 15th immediatly after the morning church service on the site where the new Classroom/Nursery/Office wing will be constructed. Please, plan to join us for this momentous occasion in the life of Trinity. If you cannot make the 10am Church Service, please plan to join us at around 11:45am for the Groundbreaking!!!
